Weed control in Roundup ReadyReg. cotton

Weed control in Roundup ReadyReg. cotton

1997 Proceedings Beltwide Cotton Conferences New Orleans LA USA January 6-10, 1997: 1: 782-783

Five field experiments were conducted over 2 years (1995 and 1996) at two locations in South Carolina to evaluate the need for soil-applied residual herbicides in weed management programmes for Roundup ReadyTM cotton. In 4 of the experiments, adequate early-season weed control was achieved with single or sequential post-emergence applications of Roundup (glyphosate) with Prowl (pendimethalin) preplant-incorporated at 0.75 lb ai/ac or Cotoran (fluometuron) applied pre-emergence at 1.2 lb.
