Xeroxing bovine embryos through cloning

Xeroxing bovine embryos through cloning

Indian Dairyman 49(9): 35-38

The potential effects of embryo cloning on animal breeding and genetic improvement of cattle are discussed. The technique of nuclear transfer followed by electroporation to cause cell-cell fusion is described. Problems encountered that contribute to the inefficiency of the procedure are discussed.
