Potatoes of the mid-early culinary Agria, mid-early starch Matilda and mid-late chipping Panda were grown in experimental plots at Changins, Switzerland, in 1992-95. From 65 to 135 days after emergence (DAE) (full ripeness), tops were removed from plants at 10-day intervals to stop tuber growth at various stages. All the plots were harvested a few days after the final plot reached full ripeness.
