Yield characteristics and nutritive value of bahia grass (Paspalum notatum Fluegge var. saurae Parodi) as a function of cutting date

In a field trial in 1987/88 in Sao Sebastiao do Paraiso, Minas Gerais, Brazil, P. notatum Pensacola was cut after 20, 35, 50, 65, 80 or 95 days of regrowth. Dry matter production increased quadratically with delay in cutting, while in vitro dry matter digestibility and crude protein concentration decreased quadratically.
