Yield potential and yield structure of cultivars of white lupin (Lupinus albus L.) in organic farming

In field trials in 1993-94 on an organic farm at Giessen, Germany, 5 white lupin cultivars were compared when grown alone or undersown with Festuca rubra (1993) or Lolium multiflorum (1994). Field beans Hedin were grown as a comparison. In 1993, seed yield was highest in field beans without an undersown grass (5.0 t/ha) and lowest in Vladimir with undersown grass. Yield of Amiga was comparable with that of field beans.
