Yield prediction models for teak (Tectona grandis Linn.)



Sylvatrop 4(1): 65-80



Yield prediction functions for both total merchantable and sawn timber yield for teak (Tectona grandis) plantations were derived from 282 temporary sample plots by regression analysis. The temporary plots represented a wide range of site qualities, stand densities and ages of teak in the Philippines. Point sampling was used to gather data. The yield models derived were expressed as functions of stand age, site index and initial spacing.
