Yield variability of different meadow mixtures on peat-muck soil in the years 1987-1994

Yield variability of different meadow mixtures on peat-muck soil in the years 1987-1994

Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie Skodowska Sectio E, Agricultura 52: 171-178

Eleven grass mixtures sown for cutting were compared in trials in the area of the Wieprz-Krzna canal, Poland. The usefulness of the 3 most important grasses, Dactylis glomerata, Festuca pratensis and Phleum pratense, which each constituted 35% of the mixtures in which they were included, was assessed. Three cultivars of each of these grasses were included in the study and 3 cuts were taken/year.
