A flexible and effective pre-correction algorithm for non medical applications with clinical X-ray CT scanners
X-ray CT (tomography) analysis is a very promising tool to rapidly and non-destructively quantify soil properties such as macropore characteristics. The occurrence of beam hardening however limits a full quantitative approach. In this paper, the first promising results of a pre-correction algorithm to overcome this problem in dense media is presented.
