A forest recreation planning system based on the diversity of recreation experiences: the meaning of the recreation opportunity spectrum

One of the important aspects of forest recreation planning is to supply appropriate and diverse recreation experiences to users. This study explores the usefulness of the ROS (Recreation Opportunity Spectrum), a planning system that emphasizes the supply of diverse recreation opportunities, to forest recreation planning systems in Japan.
