A serological survey on prevalence of Border disease in Iran

Journal of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tehran 54(4): Pe1-Pe8

Serum samples from sheep from 8 provinces of Iran were examined for Border disease virus (BDV) using serum neutralization (SN) and ELISA. The overall prevalence of BDV in all provinces was 13.5% using SN test and 11.9% using ELISA. Chaharmahal Bakhtiary province had the highest prevalence of BDV (21.2%) and Khorasan showed the lowest prevalence of BDV (4.1%).
