A simple method of assessing growing stock and annual increment for preparing JFM plans

A simple method of assessing growing stock and annual increment for preparing JFM plans

Indian Forester 125(6): 561-565

A method for assessing growing stock and annual increment is described which is based on estimates of mean crop girth at breast height (GBH). These are derived by 100% enumeration of 50x20 m sample plots (2-3/ha), which are representative of the whole forest crop in that they include all species and ages of trees.
