A study on dynamic changes of soil nutrients under Phyllostachys pubescens forest
To understand dynamic changes of soil nutrients under different bamboo stands, three bamboos were chosen to be sampling spots in either high-yield or low-yield bamboo stands during one year. It is shown that both organic matter and total nitrogen appear to be at the lowest level in May, and they increase after August, but didn't reach the same level as the year before, which indicates that bamboo can't prevent soil nutrients from depleting unless manure is added.
