Heart rate and selected blood parameters were measured in group-reared dairy calves with constant composition (Gk) or with changing composition (Gw) and single-box-reared dairy calves (E) at 15, 30, 60 and 90 days of age. Mean pH, pO2, haemoglobin concentration (Hb), haematocrit (Hk), MCHC, O2CONT and O2CAP were higher and mean pCO2, HCO3 and BE were lower at 60 and 90 days of age compared with these measurements at 15 and 30 days of age.
