Fitopatologia Venezolana 12(1): 18-21



Sheath blight of rice, caused by R. solani AG1-IA, is one of the most important phytopathological problems of this cereal. Two trials were carried out during the rainy season (June-October) in 1995, in the experimental field of FONAIAP-Portuguesa, Araure, Venezuela, in order to evaluate the control of sheath blight by several cultural practices and with Trichoderma harzianum.
