Analysis of a diallel cross involving two sources of germplasm in chickens

Analysis of a diallel cross involving two sources of germplasm in chickens

Ciencia e Agrotecnologia 24(3): 730-737

Using a simple additive genetic model, data on mortality was analysed to determine the effects responsible for differences among breeding types. The model was chosen to describe each progeny average in terms of the main causative effects of additive genetic (a), additive Z sex-linked (z), additive maternal genetic (w), non-additive genetic (h) and maternal environmental (m) effects.
