Application of sawing simulation model to thinning logs to increase lumber recovery and jointed board yield

Logs from timber estates in general have small diameter that results in low sawing recovery and only produces narrow boards. To increase the sawing recovery, a study was conducted to apply a sawing simulation model to leda (Eucalyptus deglupta) and damar (Agathis loranthifolia) and compared the results to those from a conventional sawing pattern.
