Biochemical difference among near-isogenic wheat lines for wheat stem rust

Biochemical difference among near-isogenic wheat lines for wheat stem rust

Acta Phytopathologica Sinica 29(4): 314-319

The content of soluble proteins and the activities of phenylalanine ammonialyase (PAL), peroxidase (POD), esterase (EST), catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) varied in plants of 4 near-isogenic wheat lines and with Chinese Spring. The electrophoretic patterns of soluble proteins, and POD, EST and CAT isoenzymes differed slightly.
