Biological control of soft rot of Chinese cabbage

This review of biological control of soft rot caused by Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora in Chinese cabbage first considers the cycle by which the disease is spread and then discusses control methods in general. Biological control is then considered, including the use of antibiotics produced by Actinomyces, the fluorescent Pseudomonas species and the use of siderophores.
