Blastocyst formation in serum supplemented culture medium of in vitro matured swamp buffalo oocytes cross-fertilized in vitro with riverine buffalo semen

Blastocyst formation in serum supplemented culture medium of in vitro matured swamp buffalo oocytes cross-fertilized in vitro with riverine buffalo semen

Proceedings 5th World Buffalo Congress, Royal Palace, Caserta, Italy, 13-16 October 1997: 793-799

A study was conducted to evaluate the in vitro development of F1-hybrid embryos from the in vitro cross-fertilization of in vitro matured swamp buffalo (Philippine carabao; 2n=48) oocytes and riverine buffalo (Murrah; 2n=50) semen. 183 immature cumulus enclosed-oocytes from the Philippine carabao ovaries were cultured in TCM 199 with 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) and antibiotics for maturation.
