Milk production in the EU, and especially in Italy, is strongly constrined by milk quotas. An alternative solution for breeders is represented by buffalo dairy farming, which is thus expanding even in areas not apparently suited to this activity. This study was carried out in a buffalo dairy farm located in one such area in the Marche region of Italy.
