Cereal aphids on wheat in New Valley: natural enemies, seasonal activity of alate forms and susceptibility of certain varieties to natural infestation

Experiments on wheat in New Valley, Egypt, during the 1998 season revealed three identified aphid species inhabiting wheat plants. These are the green bug aphid, Schizaphis graminum (Rondani), the bird-cherry oat aphid, Rhopalosiphum padi (L.), and the corn leaf aphid, Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch.).
