The potential daily intake of dietary fibre in ready-to-eat meals from 3 big providers (kitchen of a retiring home, a hospital, of the army) were analysed in a duplicate diet study. It lasted 30 days and contained all meals offered during one day, except beverages. Analysis werde done by the AOAC method. The total amounts of dietary fibre were between 15.9 and 22.2 g/day, based on the assumption, that all the offered meals were consumed. The three kitchens offered generally varied meals.
