Control of broad-leaved weeds, particularly Galium aparine, in UK potato trials using a mixture of flufenacet and metribuzin

Flufenacet + metribuzin is a new combination of 2 active ingredients, with the formulation code UK775-. Flufenacet + metribuzin (480 + 350 g a.i./ha and 600 + 437.5 g a.i./ha) was tested alone and in tank mixture with metribuzin (0.375 and 0.5 kg/ha) in field trials in potato crops in the UK. Applied as a pre-emergence treatment, the combination demonstrated very good control of G. aparine, providing 84.8 and 95.2% mean reduction in G. aparine at the lower and higher doses, respectively.
