Correlation and path coefficient analysis in the segregating generations of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench)

Correlation and path analysis were carried out in F2 and F3 generations of the sorghum cross 1036 A x IS 84. Grain yield showed significant positive correlation with harvest index and panicle length in F2. In both the generations, path analysis revealed that leaf area index, dry matter production and harvest index along the grain yield were important for yield enhancement.
