Correlation studies among leaf area index, tuber number, tuber weight, dry matter production and tuber yield in autumn sown potato

During autumn season of 1997-98, in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, a field study was conducted to determine the degree of correlation of different growth and yield bearing characters to potato Kufri Chandramukhi tuber yield. Leaf area index, and dry matter of leaves, stems, roots + stolon, and tubers were recorded at 30, 60 and 90 days after planting. The number and weight of tubers were recorded at harvest.
