Creating his goat farm:risky but possible!

French data from 29 goat farms aimed at milk production and 15 goat farms aimed at cheesemaking were compared to simulated data from a milk producing farm with 170 goats (750 kg milk) and a cheesemaking farm with 90 goats (850 kg milk). Data are presented on milk production, milk price, investment, and estimated production costs during 2001-2005.
