Global trends in ecotourism are analysed, and it is noted that this type of tourism is high-level in its expectations, and makes various basic demands on both tourists and tour managers. The paper then discusses the practices involved in developing ecotourism in Lin'an, Zhejiang Province (China), and analyses the natural resources conditions and regional superiority of the area.
