With special reference to trials conducted in France during 1998-2000, the efficacy is discussed of slow filtration (on pozzalana as a technique for disinfection (against Phytophthora spp.) of recycled drainage water in nurseries with soilless culture. Filters were installed in 1996 and 2000 and used to recycle water from potted Chamaecyparis lawsoniana (cv. Ellwoodii).
