Ecological studies on Bulinus (Physopsis) globosus, Morelet and Bulinus rohlfsi, Clessin (Mollusca: Pulmonata) in four locations in Edo State, Nigeria

Ecological studies on Bulinus (Physopsis) globosus, Morelet and Bulinus rohlfsi, Clessin (Mollusca: Pulmonata) in four locations in Edo State, Nigeria

Parasitica 54(4): 129-140

A comparative survey on the abundance and distribution of Bulinus globosus and B. rohlfsi was conducted in four different geographical locations in Edo State, Nigeria, between January and December 1995. There was marked seasonality in the relative population density due to rainfall, change in physico-chemical properties and the locations of water bodies.
