Effect of MH and curing on storage quality of kharif onion (Allium cepa L.)

The effect of maleic hydrazide (MH) and curing on storage quality of onions N-53 grown during the kharif season was studied during 1990/91 in Bihar. Findings indicated that the 15-day pre-harvest foliar application of MH (at 1000, 2000 or 3000 ppm) were effective in reducing rooting and maintaining higher percentage of healthy bulb during storage.
