Effect of electromagnetic fields on tomato: pigment content, photosynthetic intensity and yield

The effect of the impact of a continuous electromagnetic field on the tomato apical meristem zone on pigment content in leaves, photosynthetic rate and yield was studied in a greenhouses trial in the phytototron complex of the Physiology Laboratory, LIH. The leaves of tomatoes affected by electromagnetic fields of power 1B-1000 A/m (=H) and 2B-1500 A/m (~H) accumulated the highest content of pigments.
