Effect of interaction between Meloidogyne javanica pathotype 1 and wilt inducing fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri on chickpea

Effect of interaction between Meloidogyne javanica pathotype 1 and wilt inducing fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri on chickpea

International Chickpea and Pigeonpea Newsletter 7: 17-18

Interaction between root knot nematode (Meloidogyne javanica) pathotype 1 and Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri was studied on chickpea Dahod Yellow during 1995-97. Plant height and fresh shoot and root weights were maximum in control plants and minimum in simultaneous inoculation of fungus and nematode. Root knot index was maximum in the nematode only treatment and minimum in fungus followed 1-2 weeks later by nematode and simultaneous nematode and fungus treatments.
