A study was conducted to determine the effect on dairy cows of direct and indirect exposure to a low magnetic field. 28 Holstein cows were used for the first trial and assigned to 1 of 4 groups. Cows in groups 1-3 were exposed to a magnetic field with a magnetic induction of 21.9-42.1 micro T (group 1); 19.4-37.7 micro T (group 2); or 12.4-23.6 micro T (group 3). Group 4 (control) was placed in an environment with 0-magnetic field.
