Effect of nitrogen and pressmud cake application on yield and uptake of N, P and K by sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.)

In field trials in 1991/92 and 1992/93 at Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, India, sugarcane CO 7318 was given 0, 150, 225 or 300 kg N/ha and 0, 2, 4 or 6 t pressmud cake ha. Dry matter, sugarcane and sugar yields increased with increasing N and pressmud cake rates, with N having a greater effect than pressmud cake.
