Effect of season on the vegetative and reproductive attributes of Sardar guava (Psidium guajava)

Detailed information on the effect of season (rainy, winter and spring) on various characters of 15-year-old guava Sardar under Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar, India conditions were studied during 1996-97 and 1997-98. Maximum extension of terminal shoots (13.34 and 14.74 cm) were recorded during the spring season of 1996 and 1997 followed by the rainy and winter seasons. Terminal and lateral shoots initially grew very fast for the first 4 months and thereafter slowed down as the shoots matured.
