Effect of using synthetic seminal plasma on the efficiency of reproduction in inseminated sows and gilts

Effect of using synthetic seminal plasma on the efficiency of reproduction in inseminated sows and gilts

Biuletyn Naukowy ( 7): 151-156

A total of 138 sows and 50 gilts were inseminated of which 69 sows and 35 gilts were inseminated using synthetic seminal plasma PREDIL-MRA. The sows were divided into 3 groups and inseminated with semen preserved for 4 days in 3 different diluents (MR-A, MERCK3 and ANDROSTAR). Gilts were inseminated with fresh semen diluted in MR-A. Sows and gilts were inseminated twice during the same oestrus. The insemination dose (100 ml) contained 4 billion sperm cells exhibiting motility.
