Pyranose 2-oxidase, a homotetrameric FAD-flavoprotein from Trametes multicolor, catalyses the oxidation of 1->6 disaccharides gentiobiose ( beta -D-Glcp-(1->6)-D-Glc), melibiose ( alpha -D-Galp-(1->6)-D-Glc), and isomaltose ( alpha -D-Glcp-(1->6)-D-Glc) at C-2 of their reducing moiety.
