Estimation of avoidable yield loss due to insect-pests in cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) in Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh

Estimation of avoidable yield loss due to insect-pests in cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) in Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh

Pest Management and Economic Zoology 7(1): 73-77

Studies undertaken on the estimation of avoidable yield loss in cabbage (cv. Golden Acre) transplanted during the first week of April and first week of May, for two years. Pooled data for both the seasons revealed that in crops transplanted in the first week of April yield loss to the extent of 200.18, 225.74 and 134.67% could be avoided by 3 sprays of cypermethrin (0.0075%), deltamethrin (0.0028%) and endosulfan (0.05%), respectively.
