Evaluation of cultivars of sweet potato as to desirable agronomic attributes

Evaluation of cultivars of sweet potato as to desirable agronomic attributes

Ciencia e Agrotecnologia 24(4): 841-845

ISSN/ISBN: 1413-7054

An experiment was conducted at Conchas community, Ponta Grossa, Parana, Brazil, in 1993-94, to evaluate the agronomic, commercial and cooking characteristics of sweet potato cultivars Rosa Rio Azul, Rio Azul 11, Esalq 1, Iracema, Bolinha, Roxa Ponta Verde and Feira SP. The main characters studied were plant density, root productivity, uniformity and frequency of commercial roots, cooking time, and quality of the cooked pulp.
