Factors affecting Roundup ReadyReg. cotton fruit retention and yields

Factors affecting Roundup ReadyReg. cotton fruit retention and yields

2000 Proceedings Beltwide Cotton Conferences San Antonio USA 4-8 January 2000: 1: 689-691

Growth chamber and field studies with Roundup Ready cotton DP&L 5690RR indicated that 4 ml/g Roundup Ultra (RU) in boll tissue was the critical concentration causing boll abscission, and producers need to prevent RU contact with both cotton stems and leaves when applying RU after the 4th-leaf stage to prevent possible yield losses.
