Flucarbazone-sodium - a new herbicide for the selective control of wild oat and green foxtail in wheat

Flucarbazone-sodium - a new herbicide for the selective control of wild oat and green foxtail in wheat

1999 Brighton crop protection conference: weeds Proceedings of an international conference, Brighton, UK, 15-18 November 1999 (Volume 1): 23-28

Flucarbazone-sodium is a new sulfonylaminocarbonyltriazolinone herbicide. The product acts as an inhibitor of the enzyme acetolactate synthase. Flucarbazone-sodium provides excellent activity against grass weeds and several important broadleaf weeds when applied post-emergence to wheat. In field experiments conducted in Canada and the USA, the product has demonstrated strong and consistent activity against wild oat (Avena fatua) and green foxtail (Setaria viridis).
