The Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) transgenic pest resistant cotton varieties CCRI30 and CCRI32 and normal upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) varieties CCRI24 and CCRI19 were crossed to give parental, F1, F2 and backcross generations. Agronomic and fibre quality characters were evaluated in 1999.
