Cotton NIAB-78 and NIAB-86 were given different irrigation treatments in a field study: control (no irrigation), one irrigation (6 weeks after sowing), two irrigations (6 weeks after sowing and at flowering), three irrigations (6 weeks after sowing + flowering + boll formation), four irrigations (6 weeks after sowing + flowering + boll formation + at the end of October) and five irrigations (6 weeks after sowing + flowering + boll formation + the end of Oct. + mid November).
