Household paper consumption pattern in Ghana: a socio-economic index

Household paper consumption pattern in Ghana: a socio-economic index

Ghana Journal of Forestry 7: 45-50

A study was undertaken to assess household paper consumption in Kumasi and Accra, Ghana, in April-August 1996. Three socioeconomic groups (high, middle and lower class) in 553 households were chosen for the survey, and these were broken down to give 6 groups in total. The study confirmed that a positive relationship exists between paper consumed and the socioeconomic status.
