Identification of genetic purity of seed of hybrid rape Zayou No.59 with random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD)

Identification of genetic purity of seed of hybrid rape Zayou No.59 with random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD)

Chinese Journal of Applied and Environmental Biology 6(6): 526-529

Assessment of genetic purity of F1 hybrid seeds of this new variety of rape (Brassica napus) was made using random amplified polymorphic DNA markers. Using 40 decamer arbitrary oligonucleotide primers the parents of Zayou 59, Ken-C8 and Shan-3A, were analyzed using RAPD analysis. Approximately 290 products, in the range 220-3530 bp, were amplified. The majority of the products were identical in both parents.
