Identification of resistance to imazapyr and cross resistance to selected sulfonylurea herbicides in Kochia scoparia

Identification of resistance to imazapyr and cross resistance to selected sulfonylurea herbicides in Kochia scoparia

Zeitschrift fur Pflanzenkrankheiten und Pflanzenschutz (Sonderh. 17): 383-388

Seeds from 4 chlorsulfuron resistant populations of Kochia scoparia (collected near railways in the Czech Republic) and a susceptible population were sown in a greenhouse and growth chamber. B. scoparia plants from railway populations showed cross resistance to imazapyr, nicosulfuron, triflusulfuron, prosulfuron + primisulfuron, tribenuron and atrazine. The lowest level of resistance was observed with respect to tribenuron and imazapyr, and the highest to triflusulfuron.
