Impact of Ayyalur Interface Forestry Project - a vegetation analysis at micro level

The Ayyalur Interface Forestry Project in Tamil Nadu, India, was launched in 1988 to develop the degraded reserved forests of the area and the people living in their vicinity with the active participation of the local people. Afforestation, soil and moisture conservation and social fencing are the major project interventions for improving the vegetation cover of the forest.
