Influence of genotype and year on slaughter traits of fattening chicks

In this paper, the slaughter traits - dressing percentage, carcass conformation and abdominal fat of Arbor Acres and Hybro chicks in the period from 1991 to 1996 were investigated. The objective of this study was to establish the influence of genotype and year on slaughter traits - dressing percentage, body conformation and abdominal fat of fattening chicks. Pre-slaughter body weight and thigh girth were under no significant influence of genotype.
