Influence of soil heating method on the growth, development, and yield of tomatoes grown in plastic film greenhouses

Tomato Recento was grown in a greenhouse equipped with the following soil heating systems: unheated soil (control) pipes on the soil surface; pipes under rows; and regularly-distanced pipes buried in the ground at 5, 10, 20 and 30 cm. The highest and most constant temperature was observed in the greenhouse with all the pipes distributed evenly. The fastest growth was exhibited by plants grown in the greenhouse with the pipes on the soil surface.
