In order to limit pesticide use, the Parc de la Tete d'Or Rose Garden (Lyon, France) managers decided to introduce new control methods in 1999, including biological and integrated methods (introduction of beneficial insects and reasoned use of chemicals). Observation of rose beds has increased knowledge of the garden.
